وعن أنس قال كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ليس بالطويل البائن ولا بالقصير وليس بالأبيض الأمهق ولا بالآدم وليس بالجعد القطط ولا بالسبط بعثه الله على رأس أربعين سنة فأقام بمكة عشر سنين وبالمدينة عشر سنين وتوفاه الله على رأس ستين سنة وليس في رأسه ولحيته عشرون شعرة بيضاء

6235- حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ أَبِى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ يَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لَيْسَ بِالطَّوِيلِ الْبَائِنِ وَلاَ بِالْقَصِيرِ وَلَيْسَ بِالأَبْيَضِ الأَمْهَقِ وَلاَ بِالآدَمِ وَلاَ بِالْجَعْدِ الْقَطَطِ وَلاَ بِالسَّبِطِ بَعَثَهُ اللَّهُ عَلَى رَأْسِ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً فَأَقَامَ بِمَكَّةَ عَشْرَ سِنِينَ وَبِالْمَدِينَةِ عَشْرَ سِنِينَ وَتَوَفَّاهُ اللَّهُ عَلَى رَأْسِ سِتِّينَ سَنَةً وَلَيْسَ فِى رَأْسِهِ وَلِحْيَتِهِ عِشْرُونَ شَعْرَةً بَيْضَاءَ

Sahih Muslim – Book 30, Number 5794:

Anas b. Malik reported that Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) was neither very conspicuously tall nor short-statured, and his color was neither glaringly white nor brown; his hair was neither very curly nor very straight; Allah commissioned him (as a Prophet) when he had reached the age of forty years, and he stayed in Mecca for ten years and for ten years in Medina; Allah took him away when he had just reached the age of sixty, and there had not been twenty white hair in his head and beard.

3547- حَدَّثَنِى ابْنُ بُكَيْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِى اللَّيْثُ عَنْ خَالِدٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِى هِلاَلٍ عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ أَبِى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَصِفُ النَّبِىَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ كَانَ رَبْعَةً مِنَ الْقَوْمِ ، لَيْسَ بِالطَّوِيلِ وَلاَ بِالْقَصِيرِ ، أَزْهَرَ اللَّوْنِ لَيْسَ بِأَبْيَضَ أَمْهَقَ وَلاَ آدَمَ ، لَيْسَ بِجَعْدٍ قَطِطٍ وَلاَ سَبْطٍ رَجِلٍ ، أُنْزِلَ عَلَيْهِ وَهْوَ ابْنُ أَرْبَعِينَ ، فَلَبِثَ بِمَكَّةَ عَشْرَ سِنِينَ يُنْزَلُ عَلَيْهِ وَبِالْمَدِينَةِ عَشْرَ سِنِينَ ، وَلَيْسَ فِى رَأْسِهِ وَلِحْيَتِهِ عِشْرُونَ شَعَرَةً بَيْضَاءَ . قَالَ رَبِيعَةُ فَرَأَيْتُ شَعَراً مِنْ شَعَرِهِ ، فَإِذَا هُوَ أَحْمَرُ فَسَأَلْتُ فَقِيلَ احْمَرَّ مِنَ الطِّيبِ . طرفاه 3548 ، 5900 – تحفة 833 – 228/4

Vol 4, Book 56. Virtues And Merits Of The Prophet (S) And His Companions. Hadith 747.
Narrated By Rabia bin Abi Abdur-Rahman : I heard Anas bin Malik describing the Prophet saying, “He was of medium height amongst the people, neither tall nor short; he had a rosy color, neither absolutely white nor deep brown; his hair was neither completely curly nor quite lank. Divine Inspiration was revealed to him when he was forty years old. He stayed ten years in Mecca receiving the Divine Inspiration, and stayed in Medina for ten more years. When he expired, he had scarcely twenty white hairs in his head and beard.” Rabi’a said, “I saw some of his hairs and it was red. When I asked about that, I was told that it turned red because of scent.”

Allah sent him (as an Apostle) when he was forty years old. Afterwards he resided in Mecca for ten years and in Medina for ten more years. When Allah took him unto Him, there was scarcely twenty white hairs in his head and beard.

Died at the Age of 63 (Sixty Three)

Sahih Al-Bukhari HadithHadith 5.242   Narrated by Ibn Abbas

Allah’s Apostle started receiving the Divine Inspiration at the age of forty. Then he stayed in Mecca for thirteen years, receiving the Divine Revelation. Then he was ordered to migrate and he lived as an Emigrant for ten years and then died at the age of sixty-three (years).

Allah’s Apostle stayed in Mecca for thirteen years (after receiving the first Divine Inspiration) and died at the age of sixty-three.

Ibn ‘Abbas reported that Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) stayed in Mecca for thirteen years and he died when he had attained the age of sixty three years.

وَحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِى عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ السَّرِىِّ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ أَبِى جَمْرَةَ الضُّبَعِىِّ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ أَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِمَكَّةَ ثَلاَثَ عَشْرَةَ سَنَةً يُوحَى إِلَيْهِ وَبِالْمَدِينَةِ عَشْراً وَمَاتَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَلاَثٍ وَسِتِّينَ

Died at the Age of 65 (Sixty Five)

Al-Hadis (Maulan Fazlul Karim – Vol.4. Chapter 44 – Hadith 74)

وعنه (عن ابن عباس) قال أقام رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بمكة خمس عشرة سنة يسمع الصوت ويرى الضوء سبع سنين ولا يرى شيئا وثمان سنين يوحى إليه وأقام بالمدينة عشرا وتوفي وهو ابن خمس وستين.   ( متفق عليه )

Ibn abbas reported that the Apostle of Allah stayed fifteen years at Makkah, listening to the voice (of Gibreel) and seeing light for seven years; and he did not her anything for eight years he got revelation; he stayed at Medina for 10 years; He died while he was a man of 65 Years.  (Agreed – Muththafaqun Alaihi)

6246- وَحَدَّثَنِى ابْنُ مِنْهَالٍ الضَّرِيرُ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ عَمَّارٍ مَوْلَى بَنِى هَاشِمٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ كَمْ أَتَى لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَوْمَ مَاتَ فَقَالَ مَا كُنْتُ أَحْسِبُ مِثْلَكَ مِنْ قَوْمِهِ يَخْفَى عَلَيْهِ ذَاكَ – قَالَ – قُلْتُ إِنِّى قَدْ سَأَلْتُ النَّاسَ فَاخْتَلَفُوا عَلَىَّ فَأَحْبَبْتُ أَنْ أَعْلَمَ قَوْلَكَ فِيهِ . قَالَ أَتَحْسُبُ قَالَ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ . قَالَ أَمْسِكْ أَرْبَعِينَ بُعِثَ لَهَا خَمْسَ عَشَرَةَ بِمَكَّةَ يَأْمَنُ وَيَخَافُ وَعَشْرَ مِنْ مُهَاجَرِهِ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ

Sahih Muslim – Book 30, Number 5805:

‘Ammar, the freed slave of Banu Hashim, reported: I asked Ibn ‘Abbas how old was he when death overtook the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him). He said: I little know that such a thing is not known to a man like you who belong to his people. He said: I asked people about it but they differed with me, and I liked to know your opinion about it. He said: Do you know counting? He said: Yes. He then said: Bear this in mind very well that he was commissioned (as a Prophet) at the age of forty, and he stayed in Mecca for Fifteen years; sometime in peace and sometime in dread, and (lived) for Ten years after his migration to Medina. (40 + 15 + 10 = 65 Years at time of death)

6248- وَحَدَّثَنِى نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِىٍّ حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرٌ – يَعْنِى ابْنَ مُفَضَّلٍ – حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ حَدَّثَنَا عَمَّارٌ مَوْلَى بَنِى هَاشِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم تُوُفِّىَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ خَمْسٍ وَسِتِّينَ

Sahih Muslim – Book 30, Number 5807:

Ammar, the freed slave of Banu Hashim, reported that Ibn ‘Abbas said that Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) died when he had attained the age of sixty-five.
