MAD COW DISEASE -  BY M.Z.M. NAZIM – Radio Talk

بسم الله الّرحمن الرّحيم

 إِنَّا كُلَّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقْنَاهُ بِقَدَرٍ

 "Verily all things have We created in proportion and measure." (Holy Quran 54:49)

وَلَوْ بَسَطَ اللَّهُ الرِّزْقَ لِعِبَادِهِ لَبَغَوْا فِي الأرْضِ وَلَكِنْ يُنَزِّلُ بِقَدَرٍ مَا يَشَاءُ إِنَّهُ بِعِبَادِهِ خَبِيرٌ بَصِيرٌ

042.027 If Allah were to enlarge the provision for His Servants, they would indeed transgress beyond all bounds through the earth; but he sends (it) down in due measure as He pleases. For He is with His Servants Well-acquainted, Watchful.

 The above two verses in the Holy Quran categorically state that Allah in His Mercy, in His ordering of the universe observes a due, just and perfect proportion.  Man does not know what is best for him because the values he has adopted in this life are obviously

and curiously contorted, distorted and twisted.  He does not really know what is good for him or what is bad for him.

 The Holy Quran says :

 وَعَسَى أَنْ تَكْرَهُوا شَيْئًا وَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ وَعَسَى أَنْ تُحِبُّوا شَيْئًا وَهُوَ شَرٌّ لَكُمْ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنْتُمْ لا تَعْلَمُونَ

2.216  . .But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not.

Therefore, on account of man's ignorance and want of knowledge, if he gets whatever he asked for, then there will be utter chaos and confusion.  The conflicts of interests so created by such confusion will completely be confounded.  Hence some measure of control must be implemented.  Whatever man wants must be given in appropriate measures.  And who is the best in readily knowing and understanding what are the requirements of man and of every creation? 

It is none other than the Lord Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds.

Hence the warnings in the Holy Quran for man to remain within the guided limits so as to maintain absolute balance in man's life, the same way absolute balance is maintained in the entire Universe.

وَالسَّمَاءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ الْمِيزَانَ

55.7 And the Firmament has He raised high, and He has set up the Balance (of Justice),

أَلا تَطْغَوْا فِي الْمِيزَانِ

55.8 In order that ye may not transgress (due) balance.

 Yes when man, by his own hands starts upsetting the balance of nature, the laws of nature  which Allah has ordained  immediately acts counter to man's action so as to maintain the balance and then comes nemesis.

What is this Mad Cow disease?  Scientists call it the Bovine Spongiform Encephalitis or BSE in short.  The biggest question How did this begin?  The answer to this question lies in the West's desire for materialism  for commercial success, little do they care for morality when they expose women  naked to the core  to sell a bottle of soft drink or even a tyre for a vehicle; and similarly, little do they care for the health of man or any

creature, that too under the guise of promoting richer ‘proteinized’ food and richer health.  Let's come now to the actual subject in question.

Some of the "Scientists" were of the opinion and had unanimously agreed that the intake of High-Protein fodder by cattle would yield milk with High-Protein content and improve the production of high-protein meat. 

The best way, to achieve this,  they thought, was to feed Animal Protein to cattle which are herbivorous. 

To achieve this end, they adopted two methods:

1. Initially, sheep offal was processed.  The processed animal protein was mixed with cattle food and fed to the cattle.

2. BGH (Bovine Growth Hormone) or BST (Bovine Somatotropin) is a natural protein produced by the Cows.  Chemical companies such as Monsanto, Upjohn, Eli Lilley and American Cyanamid had developed a synthetic version of this Bovine Growth Hormone (BGH) calling it rBGH - Recombinant Bovine Growth Hormone.  These companies insist that they have tested this rBGH over the past 10 years and by intensive lobbying of "health to both cows and humans", they managed to get the approval for the use of this rBGH by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in November 1993. 

The acceptance of the rBGH by the FDA was a great encouragement to help the widespread use of this genetically engineered synthetic version of the Bovine Growth Hormone in US and Britain .

What happened now was, that as a result of such rBGH injections which were injected every 14 days into the dairy cows for a period of 200 days out of a cow's 335 day lactation cycle. The milk production increased quite dramatically and the cows started over producing milk. 

Statistics reveal that in 1930, the average cow produced around 5 Kilograms of milk per day; but by 1988 milk production increased to 18 Kilograms per day when the cows were fed with processed sheep offal mixed in the fodder.  With the rBGH injection it rose to 22 Kilograms a day.

The cows are kept in a perpetual cycle of gestation and lactation which wears out their bodies quickly and they had to be fed with more energy-dense, high-protein food.  Their system could not support this unusually increased production, so they had to be fed with a highly concentrated diet. Now what they did was, they started feeding the cows with animal bodies processed food (i.e. meat and bone-meal derived from "rendered animals")  mixed into the fodder.  They say "animals bodies processed food"  What animal bodies were used, they do not say. 

Anyway, this was too much for any animal to bear.  The normal life span of 20 to 25 years for an average cow was just cut down to 5 years or less.

What a crime!! 

Because the body systems of the animals were overworked, it even weakened the natural body protection systems and became very vulnerable to diseases.  To cope with this, what do you think the "maestros" did?  They happily gave copious doses of  antibiotics.

Residues from the diseases and residues from the drugs found its way into the milk.  This added stress on the cows, lowered its fertility, reduced its life span and reduced the  number of calves each cow can produce.  Healthy cows simply dropped dead, which were simply described by the "maestros" as a "downed cow".

DIAGNOSIS: "Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE)  one of a group of little understood infectious diseases which affect a variety of animal species including man. 

This infection is not caused by a virus but by an agent known as "PRION"   a protein which is thought to cause a slow biochemical reaction provoking brain protein molecules to change form  -  The result:

TRANSFORMATION OF THE BRAIN TO A SPONGE-LIKE STATE.

Millions of cattle have now been infected with "prion"  But still the so called pundits do not wish to accept the fact that these are caused by rBGH injunctions coupled with feeding processed animal body proteins.  They have swallowed the camel and are straining at the gnat by declaring that this was caused by the cattle feed to which processed sheep offal was mixed and they have banned the importation of sheep offal, the same way they declared the use of condoms to prevent sexually transmitted diseases including "AIDS" instead of condemning illegal sexual relations and unnatural and immoral behaviour.

The most strangest part is  that they cannot just kill the animals and bury them.  They fear that the earth may absorb this protein, which in turn may result in the plants absorbing them through their roots.  Man or animal feeding on these plants ingested with this "prion" may too suffer the same fate as the cattle.  What a situation where neither man nor animal can take in even plant food without any fear!!

So the pundits have decided to destroy millions of cattle by incinerating them and burying the ashes.

The "scientists" have discovered another hazard.  They say that the :

PRIONS HAVE BEEN SHOWN TO BE VERY STABLE EVEN AT HIGH TEMPERATURES.

THEY CAN ALSO WITHSTAND RADIATION

THEY CAN WITHSTAND ANTISEPTICS WHICH COULD KILL OTHER INFECTIOUS AGENTS.  THEY ALSO APPEAR TO PROVOKE

NO IMMUNE RESPONSE IN VICTIMS

What a calamity!!  What a calamity to men and animals!!   What a calamity to all creation!!

Lt us see what the Holy Quran says.  Chapter 4 verse 118 states:

لَعَنَهُ اللَّهُ وَقَالَ لأتَّخِذَنَّ مِنْ عِبَادِكَ نَصِيبًا مَفْرُوضًا

4.118 Allah did curse him (Shaithaan), but he said: "I will take of Thy servants a portion Marked off;

 In other words, Satan obtained ALLAH'S  permission to tempt man and Satan's boast is that the section of mankind lead astray by him will be branded and marked off AS HIS OWN.

Look at the next verse 4:119. 

This is the verse that actually speaks of the "MAD COW DISEASE"

 وَلأضِلَّنَّهُمْ وَلأمَنِّيَنَّهُمْ وَلآمُرَنَّهُمْ فَلَيُبَتِّكُنَّ آذَانَ الأنْعَامِ وَلآمُرَنَّهُمْ فَلَيُغَيِّرُنَّ خَلْقَ اللَّهِ وَمَنْ يَتَّخِذِ الشَّيْطَانَ وَلِيًّا مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ فَقَدْ خَسِرَ خُسْرَانًا مُبِينًا

004.119 "I will mislead them, and I will create in them false desires; I will order them to slit the ears of cattle, and to deface the (fair) nature created by Allah." Whoever, forsaking Allah, takes Satan for a friend, hath of a surety suffered a loss that is clearly manifest.

The Holy Quran continues

يَعِدُهُمْ وَيُمَنِّيهِمْ وَمَا يَعِدُهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ إِلا غُرُورًا

4.120 Satan makes them promises, and creates in them false desires; but satan's promises are nothing but deception.

 Yes, the Satan had made false promises he has inspired them that to deface the fair nature of the cattle and other things created  the sentence  in Arabic reads:

وَلآمُرَنَّهُمْ فَلَيُغَيِّرُنَّ خَلْقَ اللَّهِ

"wala aamuranna hum fala yughaiyirunna khalkallah"

That is (The Satan has inspired them)  to change, modify, alter  and vary the original creation. 

To change, convert,transform, and transmute the natural disposition and moral constitution and once they do that they will have increased milk supply, it will increase the amount of food available to feed the world's hungry.  Satan inspired them to introduce rBGH coupled with the system of feeding animal body processed protein to herbivorous

animals (defacing the fair nature) and promised them that it will supplant cheaper, safer, more traditional sources of food and the resulting increase in use of animal foods will mean an overall reduction in food supplies. Satan in his cunning had also made them

publicise that just two-fifths of a hectare can feed 20 times as many people eating a pure vegetarian diet than it can feed people eating an animal-based diet –

"come on why are you worried, go ahead, cows mean big business!!"

What they do not realize is that Satan the accursed is keeping his promise that he will misguide man and deceive him.  What man does not realize is that those who deface, mutilate and mutate Allah's natural creations are in for real trouble. They are going to face severe disastrous results. 

Yes we could see  the BSE fiasco  it is just the tip of the iceberg.

The Quranic expression

يَعِدُهُمْ وَيُمَنِّيهِمْ وَمَا يَعِدُهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ إِلا غُرُورًا

 "SATAN MAKES PROMISES AND CREATES IN THEM FALSE HOPES AND SATANS PROMISES ARE NOTHING BUT DECEPTION." 4:120.

This verse goes a step further :

1. The British Scientists have announced that they have indentified a new pattern of the human – “CREUTZ FELDT JACOB DISEASE” - ABBREVIATED "CJD". 

They say that they cannot rule out the possibility that BSE (The Mad Cow Disease) may be transmitted to humans.  This revelation has indeed turned the medical and scientific community upside down.

2. Cows that had been injected with rBGH produce much more of insulin-like growth factor, identified as IGF1, whose molecular structure is the same in humans and cows.  In humans, IGF1 is linked to a disease called  acromegaly -  which is a disease involving the abnormal enlargement of the hands, feet, nose and chin. 

Increased levels of IGF1 has been linked to colon tumours and cancer, particularly breast cancer in women.

Dr. Samuel Epstein, professor of Occupational and Environmental Medicine at the University of Illinois in Chicago says that "IGF1 is a growth factor for human breast cells, maintaining their malignancy, progression and invasiveness.

Allah says in the Holy Quran :

إِنَّا كُلَّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقْنَاهُ بِقَدَرٍ

54.49 Verily, all things have We created in proportion and measure.

 and again in 13:8 Allah says:

 وَكُلُّ شَيْءٍ عِنْدَهُ بِمِقْدَارٍ

13.8  "...EVERY SINGLE THING IS BEFORE HIS SIGHT IN (DUE) PROPORTION.

 Man by his ignorance is trying to upset the due proportion and fine nature created by Allah.  Result : DISASTER WITH A CAPITAL "D".

Man has swallowed the evil whisperings of Satan the accursed totally deluded; he thinks that he can save the world from hunger and he tries to play God. 

 In conclusion let us look at some Quranic verses which are very explicit and implicitly conveyed, which need no explanation.

وَيَرْزُقْهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لا يَحْتَسِبُ وَمَنْ يَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ فَهُوَ حَسْبُهُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بَالِغُ أَمْرِهِ قَدْ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ لِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدْرًا

65.3 And He provides for him from (sources) he never could imagine. And if any one puts his trust in Allah, sufficient is (Allah) for him. For Allah will surely accomplish his purpose: verily, for all things has Allah appointed a due proportion.

وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ مِنْ فَوْقِهَا وَبَارَكَ فِيهَا وَقَدَّرَ فِيهَا أَقْوَاتَهَا فِي أَرْبَعَةِ أَيَّامٍ سَوَاءً لِلسَّائِلِينَ

041.010 He set on the (earth), mountains standing firm, high above it, and bestowed blessings on the earth, and measure therein all things to give them nourishment in due proportion, in four Days, in accordance with (the needs of) those who seek (Sustenance).

Showing very clearly that Allah in His Mercy has created, at inception itself, nourishment and sustenance to every creature just in four stages until the end of the world.  Man need not try to transmute the nature created by Allah under the guise of providing increased sustenance;  by attempting to do so he will only upset the balance of creation.

 اللَّهُ يَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ وَيَقْدِرُ لَهُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ

029.062 Allah enlarges the sustenance (which He gives) to whichever of His servants He pleases; and He (similarly) grants by (strict) measure, (as He pleases): for Allah has full knowledge of all things.

 إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَرْزُقُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ

3.37  . . .For Allah Provides sustenance to whom He pleases without measure."

 رَبَّنَا لا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا وَهَبْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمَةً إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْوَهَّابُ

3.8 – (They the Believers will say) "Our Lord!", "Let not our hearts deviate now after Thou hast guided us, but grant us mercy from Thine own Presence; for Thou art the Grantor of bounties without measure.

تُولِجُ اللَّيْلَ فِي النَّهَارِ وَتُولِجُ النَّهَارَ فِي اللَّيْلِ وَتُخْرِجُ الْحَيَّ مِنَ الْمَيِّتِ وَتُخْرِجُ الْمَيِّتَ مِنَ الْحَيِّ وَتَرْزُقُ مَنْ تَشَاءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ

3.27 "Thou causest the night to gain on the day, and thou causest the day to gain on the night; Thou bringest the Living out of the dead, and Thou bringest the dead out of the Living; and Thou givest sustenance to whom Thou pleasest, without measure."
