Difference between a Believer and a Hypocrite
Both the Wasp and the Bee suck nectar from the flowers. Both of them feed on the same pollen. However the wasp produces a Poisonous Sting - While the Bee produces sweet Honey.
You will find two kinds of deer feeding on the same type of grass - One type of deer creates dung while the other type of Deer Produces Fragrant Musk.
Two kinds of Bamboo are being fed with water from the same watering place. One type ends up being hollow, while the other, produces sweet Sugar from Sugar Cane.
An evil person eats bread and that bread creates within him stinginess, jealousy and evil desires. That same is bread is also eaten by a pious man, a saint - but Divine Love and Knowledge is created within him.
Outwardly, Brackish Water - Salt water and Sweet water appear to be the same- But how different are they? Similarly one of ill-fortune and one of good - fortune appear to be the same - Which is indeed like the outward form of a righteous one and the evil one appear to be the same; but are they the same in their life style and manners?
Whatever a man does., an ape can do as well - But how different is a man from an Ape.
In a similar manner, ignorant one have looked at miracles and compared them with sorcery. A miracle is in fact from the Mercy of Allah which is granted to the friends of Allah - the Saintly ones, whereas sorcery is the curse of Allah which comes through the evil-minded and rejected ones.
Pure Gold and impure gold (rolled-gold) - both have the same appearance; but when both of them are put to the test, see how different the value of one is from the other.
Hence, outwardly, the deeds of a believer and the deeds of a hypocrite appear to be the same, but in actual fact there is a vast difference between the two. How great is the difference in the results of both? The deeds of a believer leads him to Paradise while the deeds of the Hypocrite leads him to Hell Fire. (Rumi)
